e-Invoice MyInvois
Training

LHDN is rolling out mandatory e-Invoicing through the MyInvois system in phases by company turnover, and from 1 January 2026 individual e-invoices became mandatory for transactions above RM10,000. This programme gives finance, accounts and IT teams the practical, hands-on skills to issue, validate and submit e-invoices correctly — sourced through Prime Orator's compliance training network and typically delivered as a 1-day, on-site session.

Why It Matters

The MyInvois Mandate Is Already Reshaping How Malaysian Businesses Invoice

A Phased, Mandatory Rollout

LHDN is rolling out e-Invoicing via MyInvois in phases by company turnover — most Malaysian businesses will be in scope by the end of the timeline.

Individual Invoice Rules Have Tightened

From 1 January 2026, transactions above RM10,000 require an individual e-invoice — consolidated invoices are no longer allowed for those.

Non-Compliance Carries Real Penalties

Non-compliance under tax law can carry fines of up to RM20,000 or up to 6 months' imprisonment, alongside the operational cost of rejected submissions.

A Practical, Not Just Legal, Shift

This changes day-to-day workflows in finance, accounts payable/receivable and IT — not only compliance policy on paper.

THE LHDN PHASED MANDATE

Where Does Your Organisation Sit?

LHDN's rollout applies to businesses in stages based on annual turnover. Phase 4's smallest-turnover band was given a penalty-free relaxation period, extended to 31 December 2027 — so the urgency has genuinely softened for that group, without removing the mandate itself.

Phase 1

Above RM100 Million

Mandatory from August 2024, for the largest-turnover businesses.

Phase 2

RM25–100 Million

Mandatory from January 2025.

Phase 3

RM5–25 Million

Mandatory from July 2025.

Phase 4

RM1–5 Million

Mandatory from January 2026, with a penalty-free relaxation period extended by IRBM to 31 December 2027.
